Selection and procurement checks
For stainless steel pipe procurement, confirm the service medium, material grade and manufacturing form together. Pipes with the same outside diameter may have different wall thicknesses, ends and surface requirements. Equipment interfaces and fittings should match the confirmed pipe specification.
Information required for quotation
- Outside diameter or nominal size, wall thickness and length
- Stainless steel grade and seamless or welded requirement
- End preparation, surface finish and inspection requirements
The materials and standards listed on this page identify reference procurement options. They do not imply that different grades, standards or product forms are interchangeable. Specify the governing standard, material grade, dimensions and inspection requirements in your purchase list; the agreed technical documents define the supply scope.
Include the quantity for each size, delivery destination, required arrival date, and any packaging, marking or documentation requirements so that the supply scope and delivery arrangements can be checked item by item.
Quality and inspection documents
Please state whether the order requires a Mill Test Certificate (MTC/MTR), an EN 10204 type 3.1 inspection certificate, heat or batch traceability, or other inspection records. The document type, applicable material and availability must be confirmed for the specific order. EN 10204 type 3.2 involves additional independent inspection requirements and must be agreed separately before supply.
